Watch: UK Exclusive Premiere Of How Drive Home Was Made
Prog is pleased to present the UK premiere of the making-of clip for Steven Wilson’s Drive Home video.
Director Jess Cope – the woman behind Storm Corrosion’s Drag Ropes and The Raven That Refused To Sing vids – reveals all the tips, tricks and influences behind the latest poignant animation including getting her mum on board, taking inspiration from her uncle’s newspaper animal art and mixing the psychological with the supernatural.
Using Raven artist Hajo Mueller’s drawings as a basis, the video took four painstaking months to complete. Watch the full story here.
Drive Home is out on October 28 as an audio-visual package including new videos and live footage, as well as previously unreleased tracks, a week after Wilson’s Royal Albert Hall show on October 20.
Released via Kscope, Drive Home will come as a Blu-ray/CD set and as a CD/DVD set. The Blu-ray and DVD feature the new video for lead track Drive Home along with the video for The Raven That Refused To Sing. They also include four tracks recorded live in Frankfurt during the recent tour.
In addition, the Blu-ray and DVD feature audio recordings of two previously unreleased tracks – The Birthday Party, and an orchestral version of The Raven…. The Birthday Party was recorded in LA at the same sessions as the tracks that made up the album while the version of The Raven That Refused To Sing is a new mix that strips the track back to just the orchestra and vocals.
