Traffic Experiment Launch ‘End Of The World’ Pledge Campaign
Art rock band Traffic Experiment are running a PledgeMusic campaign to fund their live DVD, which will be shot in a British music icon’s private studio on December 21 – the final day on the Mayan calendar.
Some say the Mayan race believed the world would end on that date – and that’s why Traffic Experiment are calling their project Live At The End Of The World.
Pledge options start at £8 for a download of the resulting movie and run to £200 for the opportunity of being present at the filming. other options include signed posters, drumsticks, guitar lessons and guitarist Stuart Chalmers or bassist Simon James White playing on your track.
The band say: “On December 21 we will be at the private studio of a UK musical legend to record and film a live performance of tracks from our first album, Blue Suburbia, with a full 8-piece band.
“Your pledges will help us cover the filming, recording and pressing costs. We will donate 50% beyond our initial target to Mind, a mental health charity.
“Will you come along for the ride? Assuming the world doesn’t end, of course.”
The core three-piece band started work on debut record Blue Suburbia in 2006 and released it in 2010.
