The Prognosis Win Unsigned 2 Competition
Surrey-based band The Prognosis are the winners of the recent Garden Party Unsigned 2 competition that Prog magazine ran in conjunction with the Progressive Music Awards.
The band’s track Inside My Head was adjudged by Prog magazine readers to be the best of the eight tracks from bands around the world that were in contention. Subscribers to Prog received an additional CD with issue 39 whilst regular readers and website users could listen to all the tracks via the Spotlight player we set up on the site and vote for their favourite.
The Prognosis are a five-piece band who grew out of celebrating classic prog by performing covers of the likes of Genesis, Supertramp, ELP, Steve Hackett, Pink Floyd and more. Their first EP of all original material, Beneath Box Hill, was self-released in 2012. The classic prog sounds of the ten-minute long Inside My Head was taken from this EP.
You can read all about The Prognosis in a full feature that will run in issue 42 of prog Magazine, which goes on sale on January 8. Or you can check them out at their own website here.
