Supertramp Guitarist Plays Prog-Sponsored Free London Show!
The Carl Verheyen Band play a show in London in September, and this marks the start of a new phase for The House Of Progression, who are promoting the gig.
Sponsored by Prog, the trio will play at The Unicorn in Camden on September 25, and this is a free show.
“It’s been over five years since we last played anywhere in the UK,” says Supertramp guitarist Verheyen, “so we are long overdue a return visit. I like the idea that people get in for nothing, Hopefully, it will persuade people who don’t really know a lot about me to come down and check it out.”
Joining Verheyen, whose also been a member of Supertramp since 1985, are bassist Dave Marotta and drummer Jason Smith. And, says the guitarist, you can expect a varied set.
“We usually like to play for about two hours. And I’ve found that if you only have one style and sound throughout, then everyone gets bored – including the musicians!
