Wilson has been busy in America working on his third solo album, which Prog hears is slated for a Februrary release. Wilson and band members Nick Beggs (bass), Theo Travis (saxophone and flute), Marco Minnemann (drums), Guthrie Govan (guitar) and Adam Holzman (keyboards) have been working in LA’s East West Studios with engineer Alan Parsons. The album will feature Luminol, the lengthy track Wilson aired on the final part of his Grace For Drowning tour, and Prog believes the orchestral ballad The Raven That Refused To Sing and The Watchmaker are also in contention for inclusion.
Wilson’s first ever solo live DVD, Get All You Deserve, has just been released, and went Top 5 in the UK. Porcupine Tree are about to release a 2 disc live album, Octane Twisted, through Kscope on November 19. The album was recorded at a concert at Chicago’s Riviera venue, with three extra tracks recorded at the band’s celebrated appearance at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
