Roger Dean To Unveil Dragons Dream App
Iconic artist Roger Dean is set to unveil a mobile phone app which offers users the chance to fly through his trademark Dragons Dream landscapes.
Some of his most famous works have been digitised and animated, offering the opportunity to explore his panoramas in a way unimaginable when many of them were originally conceived.
The Roger Dean Dragons Dream app brings his pieces to life in the form of animation and gameplay. Two new landscapes, Oceanic Arches and Forest of Mist, must be explored, and the reward for successful navigation will be the vision of a previously unseen image entitled Blind Owl.
The artists has worked closely with developers at digital studio Moshen for several months to ensure the app is up to his celebrated high standards, making a strong connection between the digital product and his original material, which has sold in excess of sixty million copies.
Roger Dean Dragons Dream will be released in the near future. Meanwhile, Dean appears with Yes colleague Rick Wakeman at an intimate charity evening, open to just 50 ticket-buyers, on November 3.
