La Torre’s Queensryche Self-titled Album
The version of Queensryche fronted by Todd La Torre will release their self-titled album on June 24 via Century Media, it’s been confirmed.
The 11-track work is their first since splitting with former frontman Geoff Tate, who released his own Queensryche album, Frequency Unknown, earlier this month.
Drummer Scott Rockenfield explains of the band’s first release with La Torre: “This gets said often by a lot of bands, but we believe we have recorded some of our finest music in years. The collaborative effort of everyone on this album is something we are extremely proud of. Todd has revitalised the band in ways we never knew until we heard the final results.”
Last month they released lead track Redemption – hear it below. Queensryche were forced to reschedule their UK tour, originally planned for this month, due to scheduling conflicts related to the album’s release. Instead they’ll visit in October.
