No-Man Announce London Show
No-Man, the band featuring Steven Wilson and Tim Bowness, are to play a show in London on Sunday, September 2.
This is at the Islington Assembly Hall, and comes at the end of a series of four shows in Europe. They’ll be supported by Daniel Cavanagh of Anathema, who’ll be doing a special acoustic set.
The No-Man line up for this gig will see Wilson and Bowness joined by classical violinist Steve Bingham, plus Michael Bearpark (guitar), Andrew Booker (electronic drums), Stephen Bennett (keyboards) and Pete Morgan (bass). This is the same line-up which appears on the live Love And Endings. The two-CD/one disc DVD is now on general release through EMI Distribution. A digital version is available through download stores. This was recorded on October 14 last year, at the Assembly in Leamington Spa.
“We’ve rehearsed all the material from Love And Endings plus quite a few more pieces, several of which have never been played lived before,” says Bowness of what fans can expect on September 2. “We’ll be performing a full 90-minute show, but have about two hours of material at our disposal. The set list spans the band’s entire existence, from our late 1980s studio experiments through to our recent Kscope label releases (Returning Jesus, Schoolyard Ghosts, etc.). We’re also hoping to play one new song, which we finished in rehearsals this week.”
