Nick Beggs’ Steven Wilson Comic On Sale
Bassist Nick Beggs is selling his comic book Steven Wilson’s Day Off online.
The title, which first went on sale during Wilson’s Grace For Drowning tour, is described as “a surreal adventure involving a vortex and a veggie ice cream, and the musical multi-tasker being presented with the Goblet of Prog by the Five Riders of the Aprogalypse: Neil Peart, Robert Fripp, Peter Gabriel, Roger Waters and Rick Wakeman.”
The six-page pamphlet is signed by Beggs and comes with a poster.
Meanwhile, the bassist is celebrating the launch of his Dangerous Potatoes children’s book, inspired by bedtime stories he told his five kids.
He says: “They loved my stories so much that they urged me to make them into a book. It’s quite a gothic story that’s actually a little scary, but funny too. I’m really proud of it.”
There’s also the possibility of a Dangerous Potatoes movie. “A dream of mine would be for Tim Burton to make it, which would be fantastic,” says Beggs.
In November he will perform with Rick Wakeman and the English Rock Ensemble in South America.
