My Soliloquy Trail Long-awaited Album
My Soliloquy will finally release debut album The Interpreter at the end of January. Check out a sampler below.
Multi-intrumentalist Pete Morten – guitarist with Threshold – formed the prog-metal band in 2002. They released three EPs and performed a number of acclaimed live shows before starting work on the full-length record in 2008.
Personal issues got in the way of production until, by the time Morten had finished it, his label Sensory Records weren’t able to guarantee a release.
But the red tape has been cut through, and the eight-track disc goes on sale next month.
The label says: “The essence of My Soliloquy is pure forward-thinking metal – symphonic keyboards, shredding guitar leads, soaring vocals – all finely woven together through a blend of intricacy and melody into a powerful force fans of Threshold, Dream Theater and Curcus Maximus will flock to.
“Sensory is proud to finally unleash the newly-completed first full-length from this act. With nearly all instrumentation on the recording executed solely by Pete, minus the drumming, The Interpreter flows with over fifty minutes of grand musicianship, expertly mixed and mastered by Rob Aubrey, a mainstay of Marillion’s camp for many years.”
