Last Chance To Catch Iona For A Year
Iona will play four shows in England in October – and warn it’s UK-based fans’ last chance to see them for a year.
The progressive Celtic rock driven outfit appear in Leeds, Kendal, Liverpool and Bilston, then have three dates in Europe, but there are no further concerts booked in the near future.
Glaswegian songwriter Yvonne Lyon will be the band’s special guest at the first three events, after having played the role in London, Cheltenham and Southampton earlier this year.
Joanne Hogg’s outfit say: “The band will be heading further north for the last leg of the 2012 UK tour, which is likely to be the last UK tour for a year – so don’t miss this opportunity.
“We were disappointed that audience numbers were down from last time in London and Southampton, but please with the almost-full house at Cheltenham, which turned out to be one of the best Iona gigs ever. The band were on top form and free from the technical gremlins of the night before.
“It’s been great to connect with many long-time fans and with many for whom it was their first experience.”
Tickets for all three shows are available on the door, but the Kendal show promises to sell out before the night so the band advise booking in advance.
Iona’s last studio album was 2011′s Another Realm, their seventh, which followed five years after previous outing The Circling Hour.
