Agitation Free Play First UK Shows
Berlin-based krautrock band Agitation Free will make their first-ever UK appearances in November.
They’re back in action with composer, keyboardist and former Tangerine Dream member Michael Hoenig. Founding guitarist Lutz Ulbrich and bassist Michael Gunther are alongside, with Burghard Rausch and Gustl Luetjens rounding out the 1974 lineup.
It’s 40 years since the band formed, during which time they’ve released eight albums, including the acclaimed 70s works Malesch and 2nd. Live record Shibuya Nights was released last year but recorded in 2007.
The five-piece outfit describe their music as “psychedelic, experimental krautrock with elements of spaced-out ambient, experimental electronic, and drone.” They promise “seamless cosmic textures, great musical interplay and great playing, melodies and grooves.”
Agitation Free will play the following shows with tickets on sale now. The concerts are rescheduled from their original dates in April.
