Kim’s Touchstone Tour Diary – Day Three
So, gig number three is over. The Globe in Cardiff was, as ever, brilliant. Why oh why though do five inch heels seem like such a wise idea?? Also, the new toy I have to play with on stage worked a treat, which means I get to use it at the next gigs too. Yay! (For those yet to see it, I wouldn’t want to ruin the surprise). The venue is on a main road with street only parking, so the VHB’s deserve a medal for getting their double decker tour bus parked outside. Our driver, Jon also did a sterling job with our splitter. I have nicknamed Jon ‘Gruber’ after the ‘Allo ‘Allo character who loves his ‘little tank’, as he himself is having somewhat of a love affair with our bus. I think he hugs it when we’re not looking.
Talking of hugs, I got my daily hug from Mikko. Check.
Touchstone are also really thankful to the VHBs for getting their hands dirty and putting our backdrop up on the rigging for us. Both bands are getting on so well so I look forward to the next three dates we have with them from Friday, the next being the Garage in Islington. I shall likely spend the couple of days’ down time chilling out with chocolate ice cream and seeing how many categorically themed words I can have my Facebook friends come up with on my new game. The VHB’s however will stay on the road and play some of their own gigs in between.
But until then, I shall see all of you lovelies who will be there in Islington on Friday. Prog on.
